Discounts & Funding for Open Access Publishing

UCSF and UC corresponding authors are eligible for discounts on article processing charges (APCs) for open access (OA) publication in many journals, as well as on publication charges for selected book publishers. In addition to the tables below, see these open access resources:

BMJ (BMJ Case Reports only) UCSF's Institutional Fellowship fully covers the standard publication fee, but does not pay for open access publishing. Obtain fellowship code (requires UCSF MyAccess login).
Cambridge University Press

Pilot for articles accepted in 2022:
15% discount for UC corresponding authors. Authors at UCI, UCM, UCR, UCSB, and UCSC are also eligible for UC multi-payer model.
